OK so it's 1:30am and my brain is frazzled but I've still a long ways to go tonight before I get to my bed. I am working my tail off to get my final few wedding edits done so that I can be caught up within the next 10 days or so. Send me your positive vibes. Or buy me a coffee :)
This is officially the longest wedding blog post I have ever done. I'm sorry if it takes ages to load. If it helps, just load this post and not the entire blog. I had a lot of trouble narrowing down favourites from Keli and Chris' wedding. It was such a beautiful day, in one of my favourite venues - Galgorm Manor, with so much gorgeousness to photograph. I'm glad it'll be Keli and not I choosing the final images for the album!

Amazing Benjamin Adams shoes.

I just loved Kate's 'hairspray face'.

The headpiece, the Jenny Packham - both to die for...

I want to know what he said!

Keli's daughter Kate was taking lots of photos to show her school teacher - so cute :)

It's been one of those weeks where I have just chased my tail from the moment I woke until I laid my head on the pillow at night. Forgotten dinner monies, thirty minutes late to our own photoshoot, doctor appointments that go 50 minutes over, post runs that were supposed to happen on Tuesday but are still sitting in the passenger seat of my car...not one thing I have tried to do this week went to plan. But there were some beautiful moments too. A first photoshoot with my wee family that was so wonderful I fill up a little every time I think about it. Another word from The Curly One (toast). A reunion with foster parents that gave everyone so much joy I wish I could bottle it. Nothing goes to plan when you have kids - but all the little unplanned happenings are the ones that bring happiness in bucketfuls.
Sharon and Marlom were one of my favourite couples this year. They are a twosome who know how to enjoy life and I knew from the moment I met them that their wedding would be vibrant, happy, easy and enjoyable. Above is the very first frame I shot that day - Sharon's dad enjoying the quiet before it all kicked off :)
Manolos for the bridesmaids...divine. |

Benjamin Adams for the bride. Stunning wedding shoes.

Marlom and his groomsmen made this wedding so much fun for Lauren and I. They know how to enjoy themselves - and not a bit camera shy :)

A quick hug for a friend before becoming a Mrs.

One of my outstanding memories of my own wedding day is how tightly I gripped my dad's hand when I walked down the aisle. When I see photos like this it always makes me well up a little because I remember that feeling of walking down the aisle, holding onto your dad for all you're worth.

The biggest (and oldest) wedding registry book I've ever seen!

Down to Lough Erne Golf Resort for the reception. I love this place because you get allocated a golf cart and a driver and you can just whizz all around the grounds getting your photos done in total peace and quiet. It gives the bride and groom a good wee 20 minutes to smooch before dinner :)

Sharon's dress had pockets. I LOVE wedding dresses with pockets.

Two lovely families brought together by one lovely couple.

I *love* editing weddings. I think it's my favourite part of this job. Sure, it's lovely to be there on the day amidst all the chaos and crazy, but sitting in my wee office pouring over wedding photos is just the best thing in the world. Every single wedding left on my 'to edit' list is going to be a joy to work on. Jo and George's wedding was my first in Lissanoure Castle and I hope there's many more to come. What a fabulous venue! Because they had traveled over from Edinburgh for the wedding, Jo & George and lots of their guests were staying in Limepark Cottages so I started my day there. A lovely place to begin their wedding story :)

The bridesmaids had decorated the cottage the newlyweds would be staying in that night - so I had to go down and take some photos :)

English afternoon tea with a sprinkling of kilts...

Mutual adoration - what a lucky wee pup Hamish is to be so loved :)

Loved that George's mum handmade all this bunting using their engagement photos.

Oh I have just been itching to get this wedding edited and blogged. I've become very fond of Jill and Rod throughout their wedding journey - they are genuinely one of the nicest couples I've ever worked for. Their engagement session is a firm favourite and I knew when I was shooting it that their wedding was going to be a breeze. And indeed it was. I had a ball shooting all of Jill's carefully planned, well thought out details. Her dress was just absolutely stunning and don't get me started on these little red soled beauties. I was working alongside some of my favourite vendors - Bradshaw White on video, Dyanne Sweeny (Wedding Hair NI) on hair, Stacey Kilpatrick (S.A.K. Designs) on makeup and David McConkey on flowers. It was just a beautiful day and I feel very lucky to have been part of it. We will all be reuniting for Jill's sister Kerry's wedding in December - can't wait!

Nothing more exciting to a little girl than a good rummage through the make-up artist's big box of treasures!

The bridesmaids were gifted these amazing shoes along with little blue boxes of loveliness and Chanel perfume. When I saw all the bags I immediately wanted to put down my camera and BEG Jill to let me be a bridesmaid instead :)

Oh I absolutely adore a good church exit photo. And well done all of Jill & Rod's guests for not stepping into the aisle and allowing them to have this gorgeous shot for their album :)

Off to Castle Leslie for the reception. One of my favourite venues!

This room was stunning. And those chairs - so classy!

...everyone enjoyed them :)

I set myself a wee personal goal at every wedding reception to try and get a good 'clink' photo. I've had HUNDREDS of fails, and I am determined to get the perfect shot one of these days...but I do like these two. Getting there!

Every year I say I am not going to take a wedding on my birthday. I mark out the date, declare I'm unavailable and plan all the lovely things Andy is going to do for me. It never happens. For a start, the most Andy can muster is a homemade card with a scrawl on the front and 'all my best, Andy' on the inside. Secondly, every year without fail a couple comes along who manages to talk me into shooting their wedding that weekend. And I have always, always been glad I took it on because I ended up totally loving those weddings and those couples. Infact, I've stayed in touch with all my birthday couples - Laura & Sparky, Jenny & Stuart, Emma & Johnny and now Leanne & Cillian.
Leanne & Cillian are the nicest couple you could ever meet - ever! If you know them you are so nodding your head right now, aren't you?! They are sweet, thoughtful, funny and so loved up - just a joy to be around. I am very glad I took their wedding and happy to add them to my fabby birthday couples list :) |

You've gotta love a bride who goes for shoes that are this awesome on her wedding day.

Another gorgeous Olivia Muldoon creation. Love her work.

Is this a girl who was excited to walk down the aisle or what?!

They got a helicopter ride to Harvey's Point in Donegal whilst we snailed it down the road in our boring cars ;)

The light was just gorgeous by the time we got there.

Wow I just got this wee blogpost finished in the nick of time! When I'm editing at night there's a little voice constantly telling me I should go to bed and finish up tomorrow...but the wee voice forgets that tomorrow I will have other things to occupy me :) Kelley and Robert's wedding was a lovely day to be part of. I had such a great time at the house in the morning and with it being a Portadown wedding there were lots of familiar faces there (which also meant I was subjected to some heckling!). On the road up to Corick House it rained and poured and I was having meltdowns about the photos (I frequently have wedding day meltdowns in my car lol!) but as soon as we arrived the rain went off and the sun came out!

They did this the whole way through the service. So sweet :)
