clare & ciaran 5.14.10

I had a lovely wee session with Clare and Ciaran this week. I scheduled the shoot to take place at one of my favourite places (Lady Dixon Park) and during my favourite time of day (golden hour). I am so happy with the results. It was a beautiful evening and Lady Dixon Park is just stunning at the moment. The entire place is in bloom, there are so many perfect little places for photos and it comes complete with little bunny rabbits hopping around and being cute.

If you like to take photos I would recommend a trip over there in the next few days before the cherry blossom is all gone. It really is stunning.

lisa 5.12.10

I did a wee portfolio shoot with Lisa this week in a field of yellow. It was really yellow...and the light was perfect :)

I've also finally met someone who is as freaked out by bumble bees as me.

Just a view of what we were working with. Totally fab.

I'm not much of a landscape photographer...but this was my last shot of the night. It really is a lovely spot.

rachel, richie & bump 3.22.10

I met Rachel, Richie and Bump on Saturday for a maternity session. They are the nicest couple - I ended up liking them so much that I followed them home and found myself in their kitchen drinking tea and eating chocolate like we were old pals.

OK I'm not a stalker. They kind of invited me...Richie made the mistake of asking me mid-session if I photographed dogs. Well, you know how I feel about dogs. So when he told me he had a boxer called Lennox at home I decided there was no time to waste, we should photograph him that very afternoon.

That's a whole other blog post though :)

Isn't Rachel just such a gorgeous mum-to-be?

erin 1.23.10

Last week my pal Carly emailed to tell me about a shoot she had set up with the lovely Erin. She very generously asked me if I'd like to tag along (OK I may have shamelessly hinted that I wanted to join them!). Very soon I had just stumbled upon the most perfect spot in the world ever for Erin's shoot and the girls agreed to travel all the way from Donaghadee to Portadown for a Big Day Out. Obviously the heavens opened when they were enroute so we had to go for lunch and hope that it stopped by the time we were done.

IT DID!

And so we had a lovely afternoon ooohing and aaahing over Erin's fabulously quirky sense of style. Ah to be young enough and cool enough to be able to pull off these looks. This 32 year old sighed, realising she was truly an 'oul doll.

Had a lovely shoot with Clare this week. It was beyond cold and windy but Clare pulled it out of the bag and managed to look like she wasn't frozen to death! Thanks Clare :)

shelly, stephanie and zoe 1.18.10

Last week I had the fabbest shoot ever. Now that I see it in written form I'm not too sure fabbest is a real word, but I use it a lot so I'm ignoring the judgmental red line spell check has placed under it.

So, last Thursday morning (I made Shelly wait 3 days for this post - she isn't happy lol) I whinged as I dragged myself out of bed at 6:45am to travel to a secret location in Crumlin for my shoot with sisters Shelly, Stephanie and Zoe. It was dark, raining and foggy outside and I did think 'what the heck am I doing?' as I drove there but it was so very worth it. The girls were amazing to turn up on a day like that looking like this. I can tell you that I did not look anywhere near as lovely as them.

This is Shelly. She is the middle sister and she *loves* photography. She also loves to shoot in film. I had to give off to her for attempting to photograph me...that is just not acceptable behaviour (as Supernanny would say).

This is Stephanie. She is the eldest and she loves butterflies. I also think she looks very like Silver from 90210.

This is Zoe and she adores pandas. So much so that she would spend a crazy amount on a jumper because it has a panda on it. I remember when I was young my mum had a knitting machine and she knit us jumpers with animals and stuff on them. I bet if she dug it out and took up the knitting again she could make a fortune in panda commissions from Zoe alone :)

They are so so sweet together.
